Our Mission
Through the sacramental Church lived out in community, Shine Youth Rally aims to lead middle school youth into a life-altering encounter with Jesus. This encounter is personal, yet lived live out in the Catholic community. This encounter manifests through a “yes” to faith.
Shine is not about being boring, it is about the faith coming alive to “let your light shine before others” (Matthew 5:16).
Our charism includes a devotion to the Eucharistic Lord Jesus and to our Blessed Mother Mary.
Key Values
The Rally is a fast-paced, vibrant and inspiring event
We strive to preach the gospel in a way that is relevant to young people with an awareness of current youth culture (speaks their language)
We bring together youth in the diocese to inspire them to go back to their parishes and be involved
The Eucharist is central to our day
We emphasize the sacraments and urge young people to be connected to the sacramental Church
We are open to the movement of the Holy Spirit in the Church and in the lives of individuals
We are faithful to the Church’s teachings
